The works indicates stability, peace and steady. When only 12 years old, Jin Shiquan began to study cloisonne techniques at Laotianli Studio with the senjor craftsman Liu Guangde. In 1958 he entered the Beijing Cloisonne Factory. Possessing superd technique, Jin excels at making complex patterns such as birds and flowers, landscapes, dragons and lions. He designs and creates various patterns at will according to different shapes and materials. Jin has created and revived more than a dozen brocade patterns, reformed the manual procedures of cloisonne, and developed a cloisonne technique to redouble the efficiency of brocade cloisonne. Jin has created many outstaning works famous for their elegance, distinction and far-reaching conception. His representative works include "Blessing Vase," "Late Qing-Style Vase," "Incense Burner with Decorations of Shaped Wands," "Crabapple Vase", "Six-Pedal Vase" and "Golden Calabash Vase. |
