Walk to the crossroads of Fenyang Road and Taiyuan Road, and you'll discover elegant architecture and a cultural relic from the later period of the French Renaissance. It is the building at 79 Fenyang Road which was constructed in 1905 as the residence of the director of the chamber of industry in the French concession. Since 1960, it has housed the collection of the Shanghai Museum of Arts and Crafts representing the development of the city's industry through its workers' skills.
