The long-slip hair crosspiece is adorned with jadeite-inlaid green lotus leaves, seedpods of pink tourmalines, and small flowers of rubies and sapphires. A frog is crouching on the lotus leaf. The top of the crosspiece is inlaid with a five-petal flower of tourmaline on both sides, and the pistils are inlaid with pearls.

Made of fine jade and adorned with simple patterns, this hair crosspiece is a masterwork of those made in the mid-Qing Dynasty.
