Qing Dynasty
Height: 24.3cm
Diameter: 12.8cm

The cabbage-shaped receptacle is hollow inside and used for holding flowers. The craftsman used the different color shades of different parts of the jadeite to create a lifelike cabbage according to the features and color changes of the real thing. The work features robust stalks, fleshy and curved leaves, and well-arranged veins, especially the open-carved stalks that are made in clear layers. This vivid creation with great ingenuity is a fabulous ornament.
