Yongzheng Period, Qing Dynasty The peach-shaped box is made of gold inside and covered with red coral. The cover with a gold edge is completely engraved with cloud and dragon patterns in relief and bats and shou (longevity) characters in the middle. The body of the box is engraved with cloud and water patterns all over. It fits well with the cover. The surface of the box is covered with top-quality coral that is pieced together with multiple coral bits. The box is elaborately engraved and well polished, reflecting high-level skills. |
