By He Zhen, Ming Dynasty He Zhen was one of the early representatives of the Literati School in the Ming Dynasty. The material used is Shoushan Stone from Fujian Province. He Zhen's authentic works are very rarely seen today and this one, carved just two years before his death, reflects his superb skill. In emulation of majestic seals of the Han Dynasty, he made his personal characteristics clear with open, calm and steady strokes. |
