Born in 1965, is a native of Tangshan, Hebei province. He is now chief secretary of the Yu Lin Painting Studio.
Following the path of his father Feng Linzhang, who is a famous Chinese flower-and-bird painter, he began to study painting from his childhood. In 1990, he enrolled in the Tianjin Art Academy to further his study. He has broadened his knowledge of Western art and acquired the mastery of merging the merits of Western art in his water-and-ink paintings in perfect harmony. Feng specializes in landscape and flower-and-bird paintings. He emphasizes that Western art must be integrated with the Chinese traditional painting. He stresses on literary cultivation thus his works are magnificent, transcendent and elegant.
His paintings have been shown in the National Chinese Painting Exhibitions as well as some important overseas exhibitions many times. They have gained an enthusiastic reception from the public. In 1992, he won the Special prize at the International Chinese Painting Exhibition and Competition. In 1993, he was awarded a Creation prize in the "Second Hebei Artistic Creation competition". His solo exhibition was held in Hong Kong in 1995. Feng's works have been shown in many major exhibitions in both China and overseas. Feng is now regarded as one of the most promising young Chinese painting artist in China.
